I have just turned 78 in the rural area of Lake Ariel, PA and live in an old farmhouse (1867).…Read More Really enjoyed the short video and expect that someone like Greg going through the house when I am gone would find much the same of interest. I don't plan on going before the next 40 years so don't put my farm on your list just yet.

I have tried two times to adopt with DAWS and since I let my cats... no kitten outside.... I'm…Read More frowned on... and I have been turned down both times... I have owned cats my entire life and EVERY cat I have owned has lived over the age of 17 !!! So riddle me why I get turned down.... my cats get their shots, come in every night, have a loving family, plenty of food and water and more love then some children get, my children play with them, sleep with them and cuddle them till they can't stand it... but I'm not good enough for DAWS...

I hear you Kimberly. Probably in many cases a lot of "better safe than sorry."…Read More Unfortunate, sometimes, but it tells me DAWS loves their babies. I got my Loki (Pinocchio) kitty from (I think) DAWS or New Leash in 1991. They had him picked for me before I even got there and they were not going to let me go home without him lol. I thought I was just going to look. It was the beginning of a beautiful relationship!

In my experience, there are always two sides to every story and it is a fact of life that people do…Read More not like to hear the word "no"...........for any reason. No system or person is ever perfect. Keep up the hard work DAWS! There are thousands of satisfied adopters and happy, content pets out there because you exist. And there would be thousands of dead animals without you simply because they had no other place to go.
