Perched atop a hill overlooking the old train station, the Putnam House is a local landmark. Owned and operated since 1998 by Bethel native Daniel Mottola, the restaurant is located on Depot Place inside an historic Victorian house dating back to 1852 and was originally The Putnam House Hotel. This charming establishment features an elegant dining room, a tap room and bar, an outdoor heated patio and three private party rooms. Serving American cuisine in creative, innovative and delicious ways has earned this downtown eatery a Zagat rating. The bar area features flat-screen HD TVs and a wide variety of wines, mixed drinks and beers on tap.
