Vote For Your Favorite 'Be An Olympian!' Photo!

Cast your vote for your favorite photo in the comments section of this article!

Patch has Olympic fever and it's all thanks to our users!

We asked you to share your favorite photo with our readers of you (or your kids, your friends, your neighbors) participating in a sport that is part of the Summer Olympics.

We received some great photos, and we chose our favorites to move into the final round. Now it's your turn! Vote in the comments for your favorite photo (the photo's number can be found in the top right corner of each picture). Voting will remain open until 5 p.m. on Aug. 5, and the winner will be announced on Aug. 6.

The winner will receive a $50 gift card or prize package of equal or greater value.

Here are some more details on the contest:

  • Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.
  • To enter, upload a photo.
  • All entries must be received by 5 p.m., July 29, 2012 Eastern Time.
  • You may enter as many photos as you would like.
  • Patch editors will choose 10 photos, which will advance to the voting round. Patch readers can vote for their favorite photos by posting in the comments on the article.
  • The winner will receive a $50 gift card or a prize package of equal or greater value.

I don't care how many times people vote for each child. That's up to the editor to make a decision. Or are you the self-appointed "Patch Police"?

Haha internet fights. Over pictures no less? No wonder why we're heading to hell in a hand basket with a bright red bow on it.

I'd like to thank everyone for their participation in this fun contest! In our eyes, all the contestants are already winners, but of course only one can be the official winner. We'll announce who tomorrow. Thanks again! Gary Jeanfaivre Patch Regional Editor
