What's going on this week in Bethel? Here's a quick look at some events we think may be worth your time:

Vacation Bible School: Kids can travel back to Biblical times this week at Bethel United Methodist Church. Learn about Paul's missionary life, sing songs and eat delicious food. Runs Monday-Friday, 9:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Cost: $25, family max of $50.

Peter Selgin: "If you were raised in the Bethel area, this is an author talk that may have your name in it!" Hear author Peter Selgin read from his new memoir, "Confessions of a Left-Handed Man," Tuesday at Byrd's Books. Starts at 7:00 p.m.

Car Cruise and Oldies Dance: Come to La Fortuna Wednesday night for a little oldies fun, and bring your classic car along for a chance to win a prize. Starts at 7:00 p.m.

Bethel Cinema One-Time Wednesday: See a new overlooked and thought-provoking film every Wednesday at Bethel Cinema. This week: What Maisie Knew, an adaptation of Henry James' novel. Starts 7 p.m.
