The Week Ahead: Crafts, Car Cruise and Lobsterfest

Looking for something fun to do this week? Bethel Patch has you covered, and you don't even have to go to Danbury to do it.

Tuesday: Meet novelist Reba White Williams, author of the new book Restrike: A Coleman and Diana Greene Mystery, Vol. 1. Williams will speak and sign copies of her book 7 p.m. at Byrd's Books.

Wednesday: Today is Summer Craft Day at the Bethel Public Library. Come to the Children's Library to make a fun project. A different craft is featured every week.

Wednesday: 
Dance the night away at the "Oldies Feel Good Night" at La Fortuna Restaurant, featuring classics from the 50s through the 90s. Bring your classic car and join the Classic Car Cruise -- the winner gets a prize. $5 cover charge.

Thursday: Drop by the community market on the CJH Municipal Lawn from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for some great local crafts, food an music. Vendors include dozens of businesses from Bethel and surrounding areas. The market runs through Sept. 26.

Saturday: Have some delicious lobsters -- and a plethora of other tasty morsels -- at the Bethel Republican Town Committee Lobsterfest, 3 p.m. at Bennett Park. See Patch listing for pricing and more information.
