Lobster, Vegan Dinner, Farmers' Market: What's Your Bethel Weekend?

Whether you love seafood, vegan fare or you're a localvore, there are some great events on the menu this weekend in Bethel. Take a look:

Vegan Dinner: Molten Java hosts another delicious meal Saturday at 6:00 p.m., featuring cornbread tofu and a mix of local vegetables. Reservation necessary, cost is $27.

Lobsterfest: Bethel's Republican Town Committee sponsors this annual lobster dinner at Bennett Park. Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Check the link for pricing info.

Catfish Trio: This band offers classic rock with a Southern flare, taking the stage 8:00 p.m. Saturday night at Greenwood's Grille.

Farmers' Market: The Bethel Farmers' Market is in its 32nd year, and you can find it at 67 Stony Hill Road. A wide variety of vendors are available; see link for details. Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Book Signing: Join author Jerry Brooker for a discussion and signing of his new book, "short Stories and Essays: The Musings of a Man Held Captive By His Imagination." Starts 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
