Whiz Kid: Jenna Mango

Jenna is a Bethel High field hockey player, a Senior Captain on the team and an Elite U19 team player as well.

Bethel's Jenna Mango's key to Success is perserverance. She is looking forward to her senior year at Bethel High where she'll continue to be a field hockey player with hopes of playing at a collegiate level.  

"My immediate goals are to play for the regions elite team that is traveling to Phoenix, AZ over Thanksgiving break," Jenna said. "This tournament is called 'Festival' and it is the worlds largest field hockey tournament with over 3,500 athletes from all over the world competing. [This year, I'd also like to be] one of the captains for the Bethel High Field Hockey team - an important part of our team goal to reach and play far into states."

After spending the summer at hockey camps and the Nutmeg Games, she was part of a team that achived gold. The U18 field hockey team was Jenna's first time at Nutmeg Games and, acccording to Nutmeg Games website, the team won 2-1 Final over Granby.

"In one of the closest field hockey finals in Nutmeg State Game history, the game was highly competitive until the last whistle."

Jenna has a great heart, compassion for others and tries her hardest at what she does. Like mentioned above, her perserverence will carry her through to the next level. Jenna takes what she learns and applies it to improve and succeed.

"After I graduate Bethel High in June 2012, I will be playing college field hocket at either Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania, Keene State College in New Hampshire or Eastern Connecticut State," Jenna said of her future. "I plan to earn my degree in athletic training."
