Viewfinder: Registering to Vote at BHS

See Selectman Richard Straiton makes a family connection while helping Bethel High School students register to vote.

On Wednesday, both of Bethel's Voters Registrars, Mary O'Leary and Mary Leagnard, were at Bethel High School during lunch to register any student 17 years or older that will be eligible to vote in the next election.

These photos were submitted by Lisa Johnson, whose daughter, Bethel High Junior Amanda Johnson, 17, registered to vote during the event, as her "proud" grandfather, Bethel Selectman Richard Straiton, looked on.

Photos were taken by Johnson's niece, Sara Cipot.

For more information on registering to vote in the Town of Bethel, call the Registrar of Voters Office at 203- 794-8516 or visit them at the .
