Evaristo Sets Strikeout Record at Bethel High

The Bethel High girls softball team lost their first game of the season to Oxford, 2-0, despite a new school record 20 strikeout performance from Yesenia Evaristo.  The team will try to rebound against Newtown this coming Friday at Newtown.

Tennis:

The girls tennis team played fantastic today against New Milford defeating them 5 to 2.  The doubles teams swept the board with wins.

The singles positions of 1 and 3 had difficult match ups and just could not finish through. The singles positions of 2 and 4 finished out with a win to seal the deal of a 5 to 2 victory.  Record 1-2

Golf:

The Bethel Golf team captures their first league win over Joel Barlow by a score 

of 181-184. Mike Kaluta shot a 41 capturing his fourth consecutive Medalist 

title. The match was played at Joel Barlow's home course. Redding Country Club 

is a beautiful beast of a par 36 with a rating of 36. The win extends Bethel's 

record to 2-2 overall and 1-2 in SWC play. Joel Barlow drops to a 2-2 overall 

and a record of 1-2 in league play. Bethel plays their next match versus 

Immaculate at Richter Park next Monday 4/16/12. Individual scores follow.
