Bethel Lacrosse Lady Wildcats Suffer a Loss on Senior Night

The Bethel Lady Wildcats recognized their senior players after a back and forth game against Brookfield with the Wildcats finally falling in an 11-10 loss.  The loss brings Bethel’s record 6-6 and puts a premium on winning their next 4 games in order to make their State tournament.  Bethel said thank you and goodbye to 7 seniors (Kristina MacNicholl, Stephanie Hirst, Stephanie Forese, Serina Ghio, Angela Franzese, Marcella Lavras and Jocelyn Wilsey) as they played their last game on DeSantis Field.

The joint recognition ceremony put both the boys and girls seniors together and was made special with over 40 youth players helping to form the long gauntlet for the seniors to run through.  Senior night is always bitter sweet as you would love to keep the seniors for another year as athletes, but know they must move on to make room for the next group of leaders.

Bethel Scoring Summary,

Serina Ghio                   3 goals

Anna Fiorini                  3 goals

Stephanie Hirst           2 goals

Kristina MacNicholl    1 goal 1 assist

Taylor Freitas               1 goal

Stephanie Forese        8 saves in goal
