Dymamic Creativity & Creative Self-Expression

Our creative energy is frequently a misunderstood and unexplored part of ourselves—a deep and powerful reservoir of energy lying at the very root of our being, which, when tapped into, is where we feel most alive. Though it is common to encourage creative exploration and self-expression in children, it is frequently forgotten and suppressed as we get older, in our day to day lives, oftentimes at a great cost to our sense of joy and aliveness, and sometimes even to our health and well-being. Using three basic principles derived from acting--being present, communication, and commitment--students will revive and explore their own creativity, and how they would like to express it. Whether it is working on a monologue, reading or reciting a poem, or reading aloud one’s own writing, students receive positive feedback in a highly supportive environment, encouraging them along their creative process, and empowering their authentic voice.
