The Bethel Public Library Board of Directors is celebrating Founder’s Day by sponsoring free workshops for adults, teens, and children on Friday September 21, 2012 at the Library. Discover the traditional skills of Fly Tying and Flower Arranging, as well as children’s crafts from the early 1900’s including Corn Husk Dolls! Experts from Candlewood Valley Trout Unlimited, Alice’s Flower Shop, and the Bethel Historical Society will be on hand, so no experience is necessary.
For adults and students ages 15 years & up, Fly Tying and Flower Arranging workshops will be held concurrently from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. For children ages 7-12 years, the Corn Husk Dolls workshop is from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Registration is required for all workshops and is limited to 15 each. Also on Friday for young children, tables will be set up with craft supplies from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with no registration required.
There is no fee and all supplies will be provided. Join the Bethel Public Library for the celebration by registering online at www.bethellibrary.org; email adult@bethellibrary.org; or call 203-794-8756 ext. 4.
All Bethel Public Library events are open to the public and meet accessibility requirements for the disabled. Those needing special accommodations should contact the Library two weeks prior to the event to make arrangements.
