Reminder: Bethel Schools On 2-Hour Delay Friday, Bus Routes Still Altered

After three days of school being canceled post-snow storm, Bethel Public Schools will reopen Thursday.

Friday School Day Update:
Friday buses will not travel on Shelly Road, Sharon Court, Redwood Drive or Deepwood Drive.

Food service will resume its regular schedule, prices and offerings on Friday.

SAT testing will take place as scheduled Saturday morning at Bethel High.

All Bethel Public Schools has had power restored Wednesday, following the Halloween snow storm, and will reopen on Thursday, Nov. 3 on a two hour delay. Friday will also open on a 2-hour delay. 

The schools will open at the following times:

  • Bethel High School at 9:35 a.m.
  • Bethel Middle School at 10:15 a.m.
  • Johnson School at 10:20 a.m.
  • Berry/Rockwell School at 11 a.m.
  • Morning Circle of Friends is canceled
  • Afternoon Circle of Friends at 12:45 p.m.

"Schools are open as a service to parents," the alert said. "No child will be penalized for failure to attend classes on Thursday or Friday. As with all school days, parents should determine if they will send their child to school....Breakfast and lunch will be available for those who need it."

Bus routes have been checked and the buses will not completely travel the following roads: Shelly Road, Glenwood Road, Resevior Road, Bethpage Road, Sharon Court, Hoyt’s Hill between Route 58 and Govenor’s, Redwood Drive and Deepwood Drive.

The bus will stop at the nearest safe intersection.
