Bethel Public Schools Newsletter June 16, 2012

Everything you need to know about what's happening in the schools.

Congratulations to all of our students on successfully completing another year of schooling. As I travel the halls of each building and encounter students at various events I am reminded again and again of what a special community we have. Last night’s graduation was particularly poignant and highlighted the very best of who we are as a community. Our graduates were gracious, dignified, and very respectful. As they close this chapter of their lives and begin the next we offer them our very best wishes for great success.

On behalf of all of our faculty and staff I would like to thank our parents for their continued partnership and support as we work to achieve our educational mission. May you all have a happy, restful and joyous summer. I look forward to beginning again in the fall.

Finally, positive parent and community partnerships are critical to the mission and success of our district. I am grateful for the work of Janice Chrzescijanek and the Family-School Partnership committee on strengthening this vital component of our work. Our goal is to garner 1000 completed surveys. If you have not yet taken the opportunity to respond, would you please do so by clicking on the link below.

"Bethel teachers are not only educating students, but when society lets kids down, it’sRead More teachers who step in to fill the gap." Explain to me how an average salary of $60,000 per year for working 183 days during that year and an EXTREMELY generous retirement package (compared to the 240 a year the rest of us have to work) considered "society letting them down"?
