Anna H. Rockwell and Frank A. Berry Elementary Schools are planning an Auction Gala. This year’s fundraising event takes place on October 13, 2012 at The Stony Hill Inn, Bethel CT.
The first bi-annual Harvest Gala, held in October 2010, raised $24,000 to benefit the elementary schools! This allowed the purchase of SMART board technology as well as laptops and projectors to aid instruction.
This year we are hoping to fulfill even more of the technology requirements of our diverse student population by providing iPads and applications for use in the classroom.
The Bethel Public Elementary Schools are an integral part of the education and growth of our community and our teaching staff serves our children with pride and enthusiasm. Our fundraising efforts go directly to help the children of Bethel meet their full potential.
Our event consists of silent and live auctions. Items come from a wide range of sources including personal services (creative offerings of talents or expertise), personal donations (purchased items or gift certificates) and donations of goods or services from local merchants. All items donated to the auction are tax deductible.
Most donations will be featured in the silent auction where they will be elegantly displayed and described in an attractive program. The live auction consists of select choice items prominently displayed during the event and with greater visibility in the program.
In addition, we have a unique marketing opportunity for businesses to place advertisements in our auction program. We hope that you will consider supporting your local elementary schools by donating an item or service, making a financial contribution, advertising in our program or volunteering.
