BOS Pays Judgement of $104,333 to Electric Company

The Board of Selectmen recommended payment of a court ordered judgement

 

 All legal voters in Bethel were invited to a special town meeting on Tuesday, July 10th, in the Municipal Center to consider and take action from a recommendation of Board of Selectmen and approved by the Board of Finance.

This recommendation was to pay a court ordered judgment with interest in the matter of C&H Electric vs. Town of Bethel concerning the High School Building Project. The total amount that was given was $104,333.70.  The sum includes interest through August 1, 2012 and shall be paid from the unreserved undesignated fund balance.

The Board of Selectmen, Town Attorney Martin Lawlor, Town Clerk Lisa Bergh were present for the meeting. It was voted to approve to pay the money for the High School Building Project in the amount of $104,333.70.
