- Christopher Shays (R): Shays posted an update on his Facebook page asking followers to tune in to the two scheduled debates in the coming weeks between himself and GOP rival, Linda McMahon. The first one was hosted by the Courant and Fox CT at the on Thursday, June 14 and the next will be held July 18 on NBC Connecticut.
- Chris Murphy (D): U.S. Rep. Chris Murphy met with students with a detailed plan of a legislative proposal he will present next week for the extension of Junior ROTC programs, like the one in effect at Bethel High School. As reported by the NewsTimes, this would require the federal government to pay for additional instructors as program enrollment reached over 15 percent of the high school student body.
