Campaign Notebook: Murphy's Congressional Attendance Debated

News and updates from the campaign trail in Connecticut.

Senate

One of several back-and-forth arguments between the candidates has been Chris Murphy’s attendance at hearings in Congress. Linda McMahon has hammered Murphy on the issue, reports CT News Junkie, but former U.S. Rep. Rob Simmons says the attendance record of only 20 percent isn’t entirely accurate.

Fifth District

Democrat Chris Donovan had the backing of labor unions heading in the August primary, but it wasn’t enough to give him the win. Elizabeth Esty, the primary’s winner, has yet to receive their support, reports the Hartford Courant.
