Campaign Notebook: McMahon, Murphy to Debate Job Creation

News and updates from the campaign trail in Connecticut.

Senate

Democrat Chris Murphy has proposed a debate against Republican opponent Linda McMahon about jobs. Job creation was a central point on McMahon's campaign, and she agreed to participate on Oct. 3 at the Garde Arts Center in New London. Both campaigns have fired off statements criticizing each other about the planning of proposed debates.

Fifth District

Republican Andrew Roraback has been accused of being a Tea Party candidate, reports Danbury News-Times. Some people believe this suggests the Democratic party, with Elizabeth Esty as their fifth district candidate, are already on the defense.
