Woman Allegedly Neglects Horses, Turkeys, a Donkey...

Unusual arrests and investigations from the area.

Police and state animal control officials seized 41 animals that showed "obvious signs of neglect" from a home in Oxford. Among the animals were horses, turkeys, chickens, a donkey, dogs, cats, guinea fowl, a goat and a pig.

Surveillance camera footage reportedly caught two women stealing close to from a pet supply store in Monroe.

Monroe Police got a break in the investigation of a stolen floor polisher when they not only found it at a pawn shop in Bridgeport, but the suspect who had rented it from a Monroe business pawned it using his real name. He was arrested on a warrant this week.

A Trumbull woman admitted to by forging payroll checks and cashing them, federal prosecutors said. She faces up to 30 years in prison when she is sentenced.

Westport Police say a man driving a car registered in Trumbull jumped out of his car and pointed a 9mm handgun at another driver in a road rage incident in Westport about 5 p.m. Thursday.

A Bridgeport woman was arrested on a warrant out of Norwalk after police identified her as the suspect who allegedly rolled a 53-inch TV out of Walmart without paying for it.

A box lunch truck driver from Milford was arrested by Stamford authorities after he allegedly struck a parked car then drove into a pile of gravel at a construction site — all before 10 a.m. Police responding to the scene say they found prescription meds, a loaded handgun and beer cans in the truck.

A man was kicked off a bus in Fairfield Wednesday for creating a public disturbance, police said. The suspect was reportedly drunk and then made another scene at McDonald's, where he was allegedly standing in line with an open beer can.

A Westport man, was picked up by Westport police after officers learned he had a warrant for grand larceny in California.

A Weston man is out $400 after he paid a woman for an iPhone 5 and she took his money and took off.

The Naugatuck Police Department arrested seven people for suspected drunken driving incidents in two nights.

Milford Police arrested a man who allegedly punched an emergency medical service employee in the chest while being transported in an ambulance to Milford Hospital.
