Cedergren said an undisclosed amount of money was taken, but the actual amount will not be released at this time. He also said no injuries occurred.

The News Times reported that a similar robbery occurred at a Subway in New Milford yesterday. While it has yet to be confirmed that these two incidents are related, Cedergren said a "lead of that nature" has surfaced and that "the police are making progress with this investigation."

In late March, two Subway restaurants in Danbury were burglarized after hours. One restaurant "had its front door smashed by a rock and the cash register thrown onto the ground until it burst open" and "petty cash from the register." In a second incident, police said a different Subway had its cash register stolen.
