On Tuesday afternoon, just before 3 p.m., the Bethel Police responded to a call regarding an erratic or possibly intoxicated driver. Officers located the vehicle in question on Shelter Rock Road and "observed the vehicle travel over the center line several times."
After a motor vehicle stop and conducting field sobriety tests, officers arrested the driver, Kyle Schlogl, 18 of Bethel. Schlogl was charged with operating under the influence as a person under 21 years of age, improper signal, failure to drive right and failure to obey the signal of a police officer. He was later released on $100 cash bond and is due in court on Thursday, April 28.
