Two Arrested for Drug-Related Incident, Man Turns Himself in to Police

Two Arrested After Drugs Found in Car
Just after noon on Saturday, Feb. 5, the Bethel Police responded to a complaint of "suspicious activity" in a parking lot on South Street. According to the police, officers observed several males in a parked car and "drug-related items directly outside the vehicle." A search found marijuana and oxycodone pills belonging to a minor, who was released on $500 cash bond. He was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of marijuana (less than 4 oz.), and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Feb. 14.

Brett Monroe, 18 of Bethel, was arrested after interfering with police officers who conducted the investigation. After being charged with interfering with an officer, Monroe is scheduled in court on Tuesday, Feb. 15.

Danbury Man Turns Himself in to Bethel Police
According to the police, Joseph Dimyan, 57 of Danbury, turned himself into Bethel Police headquarters just before noon Saturday. Dimyan had an outstanding warrant against him, charging him was failure to maintain minimum insurance on a motor vehicle related to an incident that occurred in early December 2010. Dimyan is expected in court on Tuesday, Feb 15.
