Trailer Without Tail Lamps Leads to More Charges

Bethel man charged with driving with suspended license and failure to appear.

Stephen Bartek, 23, of Grassy Plain Street, Bethel, was stopped on Sept. 12 at 1:58 a.m. for towing a trailer with no tail lamps.

During the course of the investigation it was discovered that Bartek’s license was suspended and he had a valid warrant for failure to appear from New Milford Police Department.

Bartek was arrested and charged with failure to appear, operation of a motor vehicle while license is under suspension and failure to have tail lamps. He was released on $500 bond.

Bartek is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Sept. 20 for the failure to appear charge and Sept. 23 for the driving infractions.
