Memorial Day Weekend, Bethel: 67 Seatbelt Violations

Officers in the Bethel Police Department were busy over the Memorial Day weekend.  For the last several weeks, police departments in Newtown, Brookfield, Redding, and Bethel have worked cooperatively to enforce the Click It or Ticket program.

 Over the weekend, Bethel Police stopped 118 cars, out of which 67 were for seatbelt violations.  There were no DUIs over the weekend.
