Police Warn of Postcard Scam

Information from a Bethel Police press release.

Bethel Police are warning residents of a mail scam.

According to police reports, several people have reported receiving postcards offering rebates for gasoline purchases at local gas stations. The postcard also asks people to call a toll-free number in order to qualify, pay a $2 processing fee and provide a credit card number.

The unknown company claims to have collected the mailing addresses from Walmart.
