Bethel resident to appear in court Friday, men charged with trespassing, women arrested for DUI

Bethel man to appear in court Friday for assault, robbery charges 
Payne Road resident John Paul Yursik, 25, was arrested on the charges of interfering, conspiracy to commit a robbery in the second-degree, conspiracy to commit assault in the second-degree,  as well as robbery in the second-degree and assault in the second-degree. Yursik was arrested Sept. 30 at his home at 16 Payne Road, where two victims were sent to Danbury Hospital with minor injuries. Yursik later posted $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court Friday to answer the above charges. The case is still under investigation, police said.


Bethel woman drives under the influence
According to the Bethel Police Department, Denise Reiner was pulled over by Sergeant Robert J. Durkin on Old Hawleyville Road Sept. 21 at about 4:30 p.m. for driving "in an erratic manner." Reiner failed a sobriety test and was arrested for a DUI. Durkin also discovered Reiner was driving with a suspended license as a result of a previous DUI charge pending from June, which also happened in Bethel. Reiner was later released on $500 bond.


Two men arrested for criminal trespass
Andrew Harris, 21 of Wallingford, and John Kaley, 24 of New Britain, were arrested for criminal trespass in the first degree on Sept. 14. According to the Bethel Police Department, the incident is connected to a vehicle repossession from a house in Bethel.  The vehicle was repossessed from an unlocked garage and both men were told to leave the property by the owner, but refused. They were released with the written agreement to appear in Danbury Superior Court.
