Police: DUI Driver Hit Two Parked Cars

A 33-year-old Bethel man was charged with operating under the influence and traveling unreasonably fast.

 

According to just-released reports, Bethel police responded to reports of a car accident on Gemini Road at about 9:24 Saturday night to find a driver allegedly under the influence had hit two parked cars.

Police say Matthew O'Dell, 33, of Bethel, had veered off the road and hit two cars sitting in a driveway. Officers allegedly suspected O'Dell might be under the influence, and according to reports, field tests confirmed he was. He was arrested and released on bond, with a court date scheduled for March 26.
