Police Blotter: Strangulation in the third degree

The following information was provided by the Bethel Police Department. A person charged with a crime is not guilty until having been found guilty in court.

 

 

A Bethel man was charged with third degree assault, third degree strangulation and disorderly conduct.  Police were called to a Nashville Road residence after they received a report of domestic violence. Following an investigation, Leo Schwertly, 45, was arrested by police on April 19 at 4 p.m. and held on a $5,000 bond.
