There needs to be more police on rt 67, my daughter is a student at Center school. Trying to pull out of the parking lot is like playing chicken. Not many drivers slow down to 25 mph while traveling through the school zone. I've almost gotten hit by a driver that was driving towards Seymour, I pulled out of the school, no one in sight until I see a car at my drivers side window. He came up so fast that he couldn't stop and went around me, there was a truck driving towards southbury. People really need to slow down, stay the hell off their phones and pay attention. This road has so much traffic and a lot of new York cars, when I have to go that way I'm not comfortable in my own town. If I need to turn off there's cars that go around me before I've even made the turn. If you notice the front yards and the sides of the roads where there's a turn off you'll notice all the people that drive around a car that's turning. This is just nuts and dangerous!

It should not have "passing" zones either.

I live on Rt 67 and I have spoken to the police before about the incredible speed of the cars going by my house. The speed limit is 40 and they go by at all hours of the day and night doing 60 or more. It's crazy! With all the side roads and parking lots, it's no wonder there are a lot of accidents. People pull out without looking, or they pull out not realizing that a car is moving at them so fast! Slow down! If you're pulling out, take the extra second to make sure you have time to get out!

And if people werent such "Zombies" out there, driving like they are the only ones on the road, not looking before pulling out, turning when they should wait, pulling out infront of you then creeping along (ill never get that one!) ... they drive like they are the reanimated dead! Like unguided missles who just go till they hit something.

not to mention Bonnie, that driving around cars waiting to turn IS ILLEGAL....if I am making a left hand turn, I pull far enough to the right so cars cannot drive around me and possibly hit me...people need to slow the heck down...everyone is in a hurry to go nowhere...and I agree...more police action would be nice...but every time i go by the police station, all the cars are parked, so where are the cops?
