Things were quiet in Bethel this week, but around Fairfield County, strange things were going on.

A school resource officer at Ridgefield High School . The juvenile was arrested by Ridgefield police last Friday and returned to his father's custody. There was minor damage to the dispenser, according to police, with no damage to the bathroom and no need for evacuation.

A Stamford man's  reportedly led police to discover a hallucinogenic mushroom grow operation in his home.

At a social club in Norwalk, a man —instead of "Kilyan," his name—led to the latter making an obscene gesture that fueled a fistfight with the woman's boyfriend.

Westport police charged four young adults after a building property manager found a group of young men, including one juvenile, sleeping on the first floor of a Westport building. There were several empty bottles of liquor and several beer cans found on the premises.

A Norwalk teen wearing a wig got into trouble for allegedly trying to break into a home and climb on its roof. Confronted by police, the youth reportedly said he . A description of the wig was not available.

In Greenwich, police are investigating  by some students during a team-building program that includes sports- and arts-related activities. The incident resulted in police response and ambulances summoned to the town’s high school.

A Bridgeport man faces assault charges for allegedly  outside of a diner in Stamford.

A driver lost control of his vehicle driving through Fairfield this week and  before coming to a stop by smacking into a parked pickup truck. Luckily, no one was injured.

In New Canaan, someone reportedly —only to return the vehicle to Enterprise's outfit at JFK Airport during the four business hours where surveillance cameras weren't operating.

A 37-year-old Trumbull man faces evading and other charges in Norwalk after he reportedly drove his SUV off the road and onto a golf course before dawn last weekend, then  away. Police located him through the SUV's registration.

A Fairfield woman received a surprise package this week . The box was shipped to the wrong address.

Police said a 24-year-old home health-care aide for a Darien woman in her 80s stole from her client by  $8,768 from the elderly woman's credit card. Darien police said the aide also improperly withdrew $17,850 from the client's checking account—a total of $26,618 in losses. The thieving started in September 2011, the month the aide was hired, and continued through January, when the victim's son discovered it, police said.
