Someone passed $1,400 worth of counterfeit hundred dollar bills at two town Monroe businesses. Police said the reproductions were so good that marker tests and store scanners did not detect the bogus bills. It wasn't until Bank of America's sophisticated currency counting machine rejected it that the fraud was exposed.
