Hawk Hits Man's Windshield, Lands on His Lap

Unusual police incidents around Fairfield County.

 

A Monroe woman received  from a man with a thick Indian accent claiming to be from the state police and to have several warrants for her arrest. Then he claimed to be a lawyer representing a loan company and said if she did not send partial payment on her loans immediately, she would be arrested and fired from her job.

Police said a website shows several complaints about the same scam.

A Fairfield man driving on the Merritt Parkway got quite the surprise when a hawk flew into his windshield, bounced off the driver's side window, . The injured hawk remained in the man's lap until the man arrived home and called Animal Control.

The Stamford restaurant/bar, the Crab Shell, had it's ATM broken into early one morning last week. The suspect used some  to make off with a large sum of money.

In Norwalk, a man asking a pair of siblings cleaning up spilled ice cubes if "?" allegedly led to a fight. The man who asked the question said he felt threatened when the male helping clean the mess stood up and approached him, so he punched him.
