The Stony Hill fire department responded to the scene of a one-car accident in the early hours of Friday morning to find a car on fire after striking a telephone pole on Old Hawleyville Road, Bethel fire marshal Tom Galliford told Patch.
The driver was not injured, and was out of the car by the time the fire department arrived, but the car was "fully involved" with fire, said Galliford. The Stony Hill Fire Department responded with engines and rescue equipment.
