Criminal Mischief Occurs on Grassy Plain Street
On Thursday March 17, the Bethel Police were called to a residence on Grassy Plain Street around 11 p.m., after the homeowner reported that "someone was outside her residence banging on the house." An officer arrested Scott Ivan, of Bethel, after it was discovered that he was intoxicated and that he caused damage to the home. 

Ivan was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree and creating a public disturbance. He is due in court on March 29.

Woman Charged With DUI
At nearly 1 a.m. Friday morning, the Bethel Police observed Patty Sengvanhpeng, 31 of Danbury, "traveling east on Route 6 exceeding the posted speed limit." After performing a traffic stop it was determined that Sengvanhpeng was driving under the influence after she failed a sobriety test.

After being arrested, Sengvanhpeng was released on $100 bond and is due in court 0n March 28. She was charged with operating under the influence, traveling unreasonably fast, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a vehicle without insurance.
