Bethel Woman in Critical Condition Following Danbury Crash

Danbury Police are investigating the car accident that took place at 2:18 a.m. Monday.


Danbury Police are looking for information about a serious car crash that took place at about 2 a.m. Monday near 117 Great Plain Road.

Police said Mary Stavola, of Bethel, was driving a 1995 Dodge Neon south on Great Plain Road when she lost control and skid off the road. Her vehicle reportedly struck numerous parked vehicles in the driveway of 117 Great Plain Road, including, police said, a truck, a camper and a boat.

The impact of the collision caused significant front-end damage to the vehicle and critical injuries to Stavola, who was taken by ambulance to Danbury Hospital.

Stavola remains in critical condition, police said.
