Updated: Bethel Police Investigating Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident

Update, Monday, July 10:
The police have confirmed that the victim of this accident was 42-year-old Redding man, Mark Beddington. A representative said police believe Beddington may have lost control of his vehicle after suffering from an "underlying medical condition."

Original Post from Tuesday, July 5:
According to a press release issued Monday, the Bethel Police Department is currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred Friday, July 1 at approximately 9:17 p.m. on Reservoir Street.

The driver of the involved vehicle was later pronounced dead at Danbury Hospital. The police is "withholding the identity of the individual pending notification of next of kin."
