Bethel Police Arrest Two Men For DUIs Friday

Arrests occurs early Friday morning and evening.

At  approximately 12:49 a.m. Friday, the Bethel Police observed Saulo Ramos, 36 of Whittlesey Drive, driving north on Chesnut Street and failed to stop for a stop sign. Ramos failed a sobriety test after being pulled over on Plumtrees Road and was placed under arrest. He was later released on $100 bond and due in court on March 21. Ramos was charged with operating under the influence, failure to obey a stop sign and failure to drive right.

Later on Friday, Richard Koury, 46 of West Chatham, Mass., was stopped on Fleetwood Avenue after not having his headlights on. According to the Bethel Police, it was discovered that Koury was intoxicated. He was then arrested and released on $500 bond.
