Bethel Man Arrested for Growing Pot Outside Kids' Apartment

Bethel man charged with growing marijuana in front of his children's residence in Danbury Public Housing.

Officers of Danbury's Community Conditions Unit charged Steven Gibson, 47, of Bethel Monday with cultivating marijuana in front of the Eden Drive Housing Complex.

Officers were alerted to a large marijuana plants growing in front of an apartment at the Eden Drive Housing Complex. After interviewing Gibson, they discovered he was growing the marijuana plant in front of his children's apartment.

Gibson was charged with cultivating marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a housing project and risk of injury to a minor.

Gibson is currently being held on $10,000 bond.
