A Twin Brook Terrace resident reported seeing a  in her yard at 8 a.m. on May 22. Monroe Animal Control determined it is normal behavior.

An 85-year-old Monroe man received a call from someone claiming that his  in California and needed money for medical care. The resident called police and his granddaughter, a Stratford resident who was fine and had not gone to California.

Two people are accused of in separate incidents. One allegedly took jewelry valued at $3,000. Police said another person pawned the jewelry. When confronted, the suspect confessed, police said.

A cleaning woman is also charged with taking linens, clothing, jewelry, a coin collection, a bottle of champagne and Persian rug, some of which was later found in her car, according to theConnecticut Post. The total value was $1,000, according to the Post.

Meanwhile, the FBI arrested three people regarding a  on Old Town Road, Trumbull, Thursday morning. The FBI said it was serving federal weapon and drug warrants. A nearby elementary school was locked down for 90 minutes because of the incident.

A Stamford man was arrested for allegedly harassing his ex-girlfriend from Norwalk because she turned him down for sex by repeatedly calling her and bumping into her vehicle with his while she was driving down Connecticut Ave.

Covered in a suspicious white powder that turned out to be from a donut, a Stamford man was still arrested on charges of possessing explosives when police found more than two dozen M-98s in his vehicle.

Someone made off with a 24,000-pound Komatsu front loader in Norwalk, even though the battery had previously been removed from it.

It was a busy Monday for security officials at Kohl’s department store in Fairfield.

Around 11 a.m., a 62-year-old Bridgeport man  — explaining later that he’d been kicked out of the house by a girlfriend with nothing to wear.

An hour later, a 60-year-old Fairfield man whose license had been suspended was seen sleeping in a parked vehicle in the parking lot — in someone else’s car. Upon rousing him, police smelled alcohol and found a dog with him. The dog was taken to Animal Control.

In a case that has dozens of New Canaanites debating the merits of an arrest and a neighbor’s decision, a 39-year-old town woman faces a felony charge for leaving her children at home unattended.

Apparently, the woman left her four kids — ages, 13, 10, 4 and 18 months — at home and went to church, about 30 minutes before a babysitter was due to arrive. The 4-year-old , leading to the woman’s arrest.

A Westport man was charged with DUI after he was . It took officers several attempts to wake the driver.

A four-car crash in Wilton sent two persons to the hospital after a driver went over the double yellow line, side-swiped one car (which then hit another car) before crashing head-on into yet another car. The driver said she had smoke in her eye and didn't remember what happened. No one was seriously injured.
