Warning About Train Crossings and Delays on Danbury Branch of Metro North

Danbury Branch riders can expect delays next week, due to signal problems on the Danbury Branch of Metro North, and delays are not likely to end anytime soon, according to ctnews.com, February 7, 2014. They state:

"The railroad advised Bethel police that a “stop-and-warn” procedure, in which a train employee stops the train and walks across a crossing with a street to verify safety, will likely continue through next week, according to police radio dispatches."

So please be careful when approaching and driving past train crossings, as gates and/or signals might not be working properly.
