Forget About the Government Taking Your Guns, They'll Now Take Your Fingerprints

Story Reported by Paula Antolini

It looks like another Constitutional amendment is about to come to the forefront, the fourth amendment that says "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

A new fingerprint security feature is anticipated to be included in the next iPhone, but according to the nationalreport.net, Apple has agreed to give law enforcement unlimited access to a user's information. This new Apple iPhone 5s fingerprint database is to be shared with the US intelligence agency NSA (National Security Agency).  With Apple's help, they can even have your passwords and photographs too, and more.

This new feature on the iPhone 5s will be a way for the government to have a database of fingerprints, including yours.  Did you know this?  Or are you one of the people that has "nomophobia" in owning a mobile phone (which means no mobile phobia) and you couldn't care less?

NSA will also have geolocation data stored in smartphones and that data will allow them to determine a user's location at any time.  If you use your iPhone's camera, maps or Facebook etc. and regularly consent when an app asks permission to use your location, then you are agreeing to share much more information that you might have thought.  This brings thoughts of George Orwell's "1984" and "Big Brother is Watching You" but in this case, you are a paying customer, to have your information revealed.

The implications of these latest features just might show how far reaching the surveillance methods are against users of Apple's latest iPhones.

However, according to an article on bloomberg.com (where both sides of the issue are presented) it states, "Apple said that on the new iPhone, information about the fingerprint is stored on the device and not uploaded to company networks -- meaning it wouldn’t be in data batches that may be sent to or collected by U.S. intelligence agencies under court orders."

So which is it?  Will we ever know? How will we find out the truth?

Will this make you not buy a new iPhone (or any new mobile phone with these features)?  Do you feel this violates your constitutional rights of privacy?  Or is this a security revolution you agree with, to keep this country safe?
