BREAKING NEWS: Student Sprays Pepper Spray Into Classroom on LI, Children Injured

A pepper-spray incident sparked an evacuation on Wednesday morning, October 23, 2013, at the Northern Parkway Elementary School, located at 400 Northern Parkway, in Uniondale, NY (Long Island / Nassau County) when a student released pepper spray into a classroom, as reported to News 12 Long Island.  

According to Newsday and Nassau County Police, eight to 10 children were injured.  

Several children were seen taken into an ambulance, reported NBC NY News.

Police responded to a call at 11:10 a m. as they were notified pepper spray had been sprayed into a basement room.  

Police blocked off the school entrance. There is no further information at this time.
