The Bridge Was a Town Project

I've been called a "BALD-FACED" liar by the 1st selectman.  I think a retraction and apology is in order, Mr. Knickerbocker, and on Bethel Letterhead:

From an inquiry made via our State Representative and ranking member of the transportation committee:

We are working on the timeline, but to answer Rep. Scribner’s questions this project was a Town administered project. The Contractor, Iapaluccio, The design firm Kleinfelder, and inspection firm GM2 were all under a contract with the Town of Bethel. Pease see below the Towns responsibilities as required by the DOT’s municipal manual which is incorporated into every agreement we have with the towns. The DOT is the caretaker of the Federal and State funds and we are required to monitor and assist the towns to comply with all Federal and State requirements, however the control of the day to day activities is squarely with the town.
