'I Wonder Where the Flag Pole Would Land?'

A look at the day's comments from Patch account holders in the region.

"How can we call ourselves a civilized nation and allow these helpless animals to be repeatedly inbred while stuffed in cages with inadequate hygiene or other essential care." -

"All this talk of being pro-life and not a single mention by either party of the war, the troops in harms way or their families - I guess protecting the unborn is more important that protecting the born-and-defending-the country. The US really has become a mess and the clowns we continue elect don't seem to be helping much." -

"What is this...Hootersville? Missing a tire? Seriously?" -

"Remember in 2008 when we were told, in no uncertain terms, by Nancy Pelosi and Barak Obama that high gas prices were an example of “failed presidential leadership?” Are we allowed to apply the same standard of judgment to the current crisis?" -

"I wonder where the flag pole would land? And how much damage that sucker would do once it went rogue." -

"I hope they try him as an adult. If he is adult enough to kill someone, he is adult enough to answer for the crime." -

"Bethel teachers are not only educating students, but when society lets kids down, it’sRead More teachers who step in to fill the gap." Explain to me how an average salary of $60,000 per year for working 183 days during that year and an EXTREMELY generous retirement package (compared to the 240 a year the rest of us have to work) considered "society letting them down"?
