And the Swans Still Swim - The Story of the Stony Hill Inn

The Bethel Historical Society is currently working on a short film project about the history of The Stony Hill Inn - the now-torn-down-but-not-forgotten landmark motel and inn that was the gateway to Route 6 and the expansion of Stony Hill corridor of Bethel, where Bethelites and beyond dined, met, celebrated, mourned and admired/dodged swans for over sixty years...

We are seeking photographs, videos, ephemera, stories, interviews to include in the project.  Weddings, dinners, gatherings, swans...if you have words or images or scans/copies of items (postcards, menus, matchbooks, etc.) that you would be willing to share, we'd love to include them in this tribute and memorial to an iconic part of the history of Bethel.

A first version of the film will be premiered in April, when The Bethel Museum reopens for 2014 with new exhibits, including a display of memorabilia from, and relating to, The Stony Hill Inn.
