Betty Maguire, 91, of Bethel, died peacefully at home following a brief illness on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014. She was the widow of William S. Maguire. Betty was born in Bedford, IN on April 27, 1922.
Betty’s love was for gardening, traveling and bird watching. She especially loved spending time with all of her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara L. Cox and Patricia Rees; her husband, Clarence; and son, Mr. William G. Maguire and his wife Linda, all of Bethel. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, 39 Old Ridgebury Rd., Danbury, CT 06810.
The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The funeral will be held at the Bethel Funeral Home, Thursday morning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel.
