Loving Matriarch Veronica Scalero, 70
Mass of Christian Burial scheduled for Wednesday morning.
Veronica Marie (Considine) Scalero, age 70, of Bethel, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 at her home. She was the widow of Andrew P. Scalero.
She was born in Stamford on Oct.10, 1943, daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy (Searles) Considine. Formerly of Norwalk, she has been a Bethel resident for 15 years.
She worked in the customer service department of Pitney Bowes in Stamford for over 35 years. She was a parishioner of St. Mary Church, Bethel.
Her life was her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Frank A. Scalero and his wife Iris of Bethel; daughters, Denise V. Sweet and her husband Danny of Bethel, Dorothy H. Scalero of Norwalk; five grandchildren, Danielle, Dana, Jimmy, AJ and Nicholas; great grandchildren, Christopher, Joao and Cameron; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Church, Bethel, Wednesday morning at 10. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel.
