Janet Peck, Known for Elaborate Christmas Decorations, 72

Janet E. Peck, age 72, of Bethel, passed away at her home on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013. She was the wife of the late Edward F. Peck. Mrs. Peck was born June 19, 1941 in Norwalk, a daughter of the late William A. and Marion (Goodwin) Toone.

She was a graduate of Norwalk High School and was employed by the phone company for many years before retiring in 1996.

Mrs. Peck was an avid New York Mets and Giants fan. She enjoyed traveling to New Hampshire year after year.

Mrs. Peck was known for her elaborate Christmas village decoration, which was displayed in her home annually.

She is survived by her son, William and his wife Deborah of Watertown, CT; her Aunt and Godmother, Rose Goodwin and her cousin, Rev. Calvin Goodwin, both of Maine.

She also leaves behind many friends, including Cindy Grimm and the Wii bowling team.

The family will receive friends in the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave. Bethel, CT on Saturday morning from 10 until 11:45 a.m. An informal prayer service will be held at 11:45 am.
