In Memoriam: Helen Giammarino, 91

Helen Giammarino, 91, of Bethel passed away April 26, 2013. Born to the late Rocco and Maria Bria on December 22, 1921. Helen is survived by a son Anthony (Shirley) Giammarino; daughters Carol (Anthony) Zagami, Bonnie (Mike) Conkey, and Debra (Don) Verboven; sisters Angie Parelli, Marie Palmer, and Barbara Parelli; 6 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband Emil Giammarino, she is predeceased by a son Emil "Butchie" Giammarino, Jr., a grandson Jason Conkey, brothers Joseph Bria and Rocco Bria, sisters Rose Martere and Theresa DeCarlo.

For 38 years she was a Nursery School teacher and a Nanny. She enjoyed knitting, especially Afghans. Helen loved taking trips to Mohegan Sun and will always be known as the fun crazy Aunt by her many nieces and nephews.
